And so, I asked the team captain to stay after class. It didn’t go as planned. He lectured me on the value of brotherhood. He said he’s taken my son to the sorority house.

That’s when my spiral started.

Paying money to touch soccer jock calves. Taking the entire team on a shopping spree. Draining my bank account and committing academic fraud in the name of “brotherhood”. And how was I rewarded? They pissed on me.

Drenched in urine and mud, lying under the bleachers, I lift my ass. The team captain’s fingers insert into my pocket, grasping my wallet…grasping my pride. It’s time to give up my body.
