Chapter 1
Taken by the Straight Roommates
“What? You’re not coming?”
“Yeah, man. What kind of guy skips a sorority party?”
I sit at my desk, a scowl plastered across my face. My two roommates stand in the doorway. Their wide shadows drape my body. They’re huge, lumbering creatures.
Barbarians.
“Look, I already told you.” I roll my eyes. “I’ve got a chemistry test this weekend. I’ll bomb if I don’t study. My grades are already shit.”
“Then you’ve got nothing to lose! Can’t get much worse!” One of the guys flashes a white grin.
I resist the urge to get up and punch him.
That’d get me killed.
His name is Jace, and it’s sometimes hard to believe he’s human. He’s a genetic freak. The football team quarterback, he’s nothing but a mountain of dense, hairy muscles. Something happened in the womb—maybe his mom was on roids. Whatever the reason, he’s like something out of an anatomy textbook.
Flawless symmetry.
Square jaw. Blond stubble. Sharp blue eyes.
“Yeah, Benny! You gotta come. This party will be good for ya!” The other guy moves in, slapping me hard on the back. “We can introduce you to some girls!”
Here we go again.
Unlike Jace, Beck has a more subdued build. Longer limbs. Arms with creepy vascularity and sinewy muscles. His black hair and green eyes are sleek and shiny. He’s strong and suave—like the guys you see on packs of underwear.
I hate that I notice him this way. I hate that I notice their bodies.
I hate how different we are.
In their minds, it’s inconceivable that a guy wouldn’t want to play sports. That he wouldn’t have natural muscle. That he’d be chubby and a bit effeminate. That he wouldn’t want to party with sorority bimbos.
Yeah. It’s hard to believe they’re human…but maybe I’m the alien here.
The freak.
“Look, guys, I just wanna get my work done and go to bed, alright? Try not to be loud when you get home.”
The smile wipes from Jace’s face. He comes over and crouches, a serious look in his eyes.
“I’m worried about ya, little bro. We’re the upperclassmen here, so we’re supposed to look out for you. You’re just a freshie.”
“I can handle myself.”
“Sure, sure. But…you need to be careful. If you spend too much time studying, you’ll burn out. Push too hard, and it’ll break your brain. Bad things can happen.”
“Yeah, man.” Beck nods. “Your brain is the most important muscle. If you don’t take care of it, it’ll get injured. Sometimes forever.”
Fucking morons. The brain isn’t a muscle. They’d know that if they cracked open a book.
“I promise, I’m fine.” I force a warm smile. “I hope you guys have fun though.”
“Alright.” Jace lets out a long sigh. “But can you at least help with our costumes?”
He frames it as a question, but he doesn’t give me a choice. Grabbing my arm, he hauls me to my feet. I look over my shoulder while we leave the bedroom, flashing a wistful glance at my laptop.
“Alright, buddy! You’re gonna love these costumes!” Jace stops in the dorm living room.
It’s a cramped space with a ratty sofa, an old TV, and strange, greasy stains on the carpet. Empty beer bottles and fast food wrappers litter the floor. Whenever I get home after school, this place smells like college boy sweat. Once you’ve been here long enough though, you just get used to it.
“Why is it a costume party? It’s the middle of spring!”
“Psh, it doesn’t have to be Halloween for us to dress up.”
“Yeah, and besides, it’s not really a costume party…it’s an ABC party!” Beck chimes in.
“An ABC party?”
“Yep—Anything But Clothes.”
“What?!” My jaw drops. “N-naked?!”
“No, ya fuckin’ perv. We wear stuff that isn’t meant as clothes.”
“Yep. Check these out.” Jace grabs empty beer boxes off the floor.
At first, I thought they were trash, but now I can see it—they’re taped together with leg holes cut out.
“A beer speedo!” Jace puffs his chest, proud of his creation.
“And look at mine!” Beck lifts some old, nasty pizza boxes. “A pizza boy loin cloth!”
Un-fucking-real.
I’m living with morons.
This is what they do instead of studying?!
“Well, what do you need help with then? Seems like you got your ‘ABC’ all figured out.” I let out a sigh.
“We need someone to tape ’em on us. God knows Beck won’t do it.”
“I’m not taping near your ass, bro.”
Jace thrusts the beer boxes and a roll of tape into my arms. He strips, pulling the ratty, fitted tank top off his body. The dim lighting casts long shadows under his beefy pecs. His nipples are hard like sundials. It’s weird. I try to look away, but Beck is on the other side of the room stripping too.
He’s got these big veins that glide up his hairy forearms. His abs are so fucking tight—like ridges on a cheese grater. And he’s got a little trail of belly hair that goes down into his underwear.
I barely have any hair on my chest. All smooth…
That’s how it’s always been.
They drop their underwear. Trimmed pubes frame the cocks, each long and flaccid. They’ve got the balls of wolves—fat, veiny, and low-hanging. Part of me is curious who’s bigger, but I force myself to look at the ceiling. Don’t want them thinking I’m weird or whatever.
If your roommate thinks you’re a fag, that’s the end of any friendship. They’ll never look at you the same way again.
And I’m not a fag. I like girls.
Even though I’ve never had sex.
“Bro, what’re you waiting for?” Jace calls out. “Hurry up! We’re gonna be late.”
“S-sorry! Coming!”
I trot behind him, eyes gliding down his knotty, athletic back. There’s a tight taper at his waist. His butt is coated in blond fur.
It’s matted and sweaty in the crack.
My nose crinkles while I kneel and lean back, trying to put distance between myself and his ass. Heat radiates from the cleavage, tickling the tip of my nose.
“Erm, alright. P-put your legs in the holes.” I hold the beer boxes out.
He steps inside while I pull them up his dense, muscular legs. His ballsack jiggles.
Ugh. What the fuck am I doing?! I should’ve said no.
Too late now.
The beer “speedo” rises, but I have a hard time getting it over his ass. The buns are too big! I’ve gotta force it.
“Erm…urgh…urgh…” I grunt, but something weird happens.
A scent trickles up my nose. It’s a humid, dark, musty, metallic fragrance. My stomach churns. I nearly gag.
It…
It’s his ass.
College boy ass scent.
Oh my god.
I force the box up, ripping a strip of duct tape and slapping it in place. I stagger to my feet, disgusted. Disappointed in myself.
“Thanks, bro. How do I look?” Jace turns and spreads his arms. My eyes fixate on a tiny tuft of pubes poking from the box speedo.
“Looks good,” I mumble.
“My turn.” Beck tosses me the pizza boxes.
The sooner I do this, the sooner I can leave.
The sooner I do this, the sooner I can leave.
The sooner I do this, the sooner I can leave.
I repeat the mental chant, sinking to my knees.
